Sup
y’all!
Happy
4th of July!!!! Today was a zuri sana (very good) day. It was our
last work day and we finished guvu (strong)! Big news: Helen found her camera
after a long & strenuous search. A kind villager was the hero of the day.
In other news, we had a debate about whether education or money was more
important with the Banjika kids, followed by a game of soccer. We are
brainstorming over a productive idea for when we get back in the states to help
everyone we have met here. We ended the day with a 4th celebration.
It included cheeseburgers, fries, baked beans, mac & cheese, and more. What
a blessing somewhat American food was! ‘Murica

If
you can’t tell, we are dying for American southern style food. And of course,
our families! And p.s. – please don’t plan on buying or making any meals with
rice, beef, or bread, or pasta, or bananas, or papaya juice from now until
ever… Asante sana (thank you very much)
